PHOENIX (June 25, 2019) – HighGround, Inc. is pleased to announce that Arizona legislative attorney and policy advisor Jeffrey Kros is joining HighGround as its new General Counsel and Public Affairs Consultant. Mr. Kros has spent the last five years serving on both the House and Senate majority staffs as counsel and advisor on water, environmental, government, elections and pension issues.

“Jeff has been recognized as a top government relations attorney, campaign finance and policy expert on a broad spectrum of significant public policy issues.  We are honored and thrilled to have Jeff join our team and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship together,” said J. Mr. Kros has a long track record of being at the forefront of many of the state’s most important policy issues and brings his extensive knowledge and experience to the HighGround team.  He has worked as an attorney and lobbyist for a number of public and private entities, including the Arizona Department of Revenue, the League of Arizona Cities and Towns and the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association (AMWUA).

Originally from Nebraska, where he earned his undergraduate and law degrees at Creighton University, he and his wife, Kimberly, moved to Arizona in 1995. 

Kros replaces Patrick Cunningham, who has served as General Counsel for HighGround since 2012. Mr. Cunningham is remaining at the firm as a Public Affairs Consultant, and General Counsel Emeritus, focusing on water and environmental issues.
