Ryan Smith started his career in the mortgage industry in 2002 while attending Arizona State University. After working as a preferred partner for National Homebuilder K. Hovnanian Homes, Ryan was hired on as their Regional Vice President of Production and was instrumental in the creation of their Western Region where he was in charge of the Arizona and Illinois Divisions.

After completing his degree in Political Science from Arizona State University, Ryan’s interest and engagement in politics were taken to the next level when he joined on as full time staff to the campaign for his father, Scott Smith, Mayor of Mesa. Ryan lead the communications, grassroots efforts, and assisted in overall campaign strategy. He has also gained a lot of experience in online campaign branding, grassroots and perception management.

Ryan is fluent in Spanish, is an avid ASU sports fan, and loves all things relating to technology. He lives in Gilbert with his wife Heidi and their three kids.
